We are currently seeking a qualified, visionary, and dedicated professional for the position of Professor / Associate Professor in the Department of English. The ideal candidate will provide strong academic leadership, mentor students, contribute to curriculum enhancement, and participate actively in institutional quality assurance and accreditation activities.

Requirements
Education qualification: PhD in English and Masters degree
Experience: At least 12 years of experience
Age limit: At least 25 years
Technical skills: Strong academic leadership, curriculum development, research capabilities, and accreditation process knowledge
Soft skills: Mentoring, counseling, team collaboration, and communication skills
Preferred qualifications: Background in higher education teaching, academic auditing, and institutional quality assurance
Responsibilities
To mentor students in academic growth, research activities, and professional development.
To provide academic leadership within the department and actively contribute to faculty development and strategic planning.
To participate in and contribute to the activities of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), including self-assessment, program review, and continuous improvement initiatives.
To lead and support initiatives for national and international accreditation and institutional ranking.
To ensure that course content remains current, research-driven, and relevant to both academic and industry developments.
To engage in curriculum development, academic audits, and policy formulation processes in line with the strategic vision of the university.
To represent the university at national and international academic events, collaborations, and exchange programs, enhancing institutional visibility and reputation.
To prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, and develop curriculum.
To conduct classes as assigned by the department.
To take class tests, quizzes, and exams.
To evaluate students' assignments.
To set question papers and to evaluate answer scripts.
To attend departmental and general meetings.
To counsel students and to work in a team environment.
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the university authority.
